Please note that due to budget and other factors, AART located here in Abilene Texas, is being scheduled to close operations effective the 1st of September 2011, after 10 YEARS of operation here. This loss of this vital clinic that supports of over 250 persons living with HIV/AIDS, will have to travel farther and longer to recive vital health services. Contact organizers today to show your support for this vital clinic in the Abilene and Big Country area. Most who use the services provide by ARRT have no or very little insurance coverage. And the options for continued support are limited in West Central Texas.

Positively Aware, in Abilene Texas, are a foundation entering into our second year, and with your support we can break through the barriers of HIV and AIDS in our estimated 132,00 person town and the surrounding communities of over an estimaed 200,00 (as of the 2010 US Censes) while raising funds for our local HIV and AIDS centers. We have many, many events that may be of interest to you, your family, friends and any of your many social media-lights.

In an attempt to bring much needed awareness to the significance of HIV and AIDS in the Abilene and surrounding areas, we are hosting Abilene's HIV/AIDS Awareness and Education Family Fun Day. This day will include a fun run/walk, food, children's activities, volleyball tournament, music and many informative booths pertaining to the cause.

All activities will be free to the public, although donations will be sought. Our goal is to raise money for local HIV/AIDS support organizations here in Abilene. By presenting this event free to the public, we hope to be able to educate as many people as possible.
